Now that you know what you need to learn, where exactly can you learn it effectively?
If you missed the first two posts, this will be a great time to pause here and go through them first.
Have you? Great.
Let’s get right into it.
In 2016, I paid for my first online course with Udemy.
I had just graduated as a human physiologist and was almost sure my path is towards tech even though I still had some reservations.
I remember how I felt using my ATM at that time to make my first payment in dollars.
Since that day, I have done many other courses and learnt from multiple sources online to develop my skill and my ability to deliver.
This has not only made me more valuable as a person, but has drastically improved the worth of my digital consulting services.
From my personal experience, there are three main ways you can learn online.
Leveraging on all 3 of them adequately will set you apart from those that just blindly connect their devices to the internet to do nothing all day.
1. Free Platforms
These are the channels you can get valuable information without having to pay a subscription or a course fee.
There are many of these I’ve personally discovered and used over the years but I’ll share just 5 of them you can start using immediately.
– Coursera (partially free)
2. Paid Platforms
These are channels you can both get trained and certified in online.
They require a fee to enroll in the courses or to get certificates.
I’ll share some of them you can start using to learn.
– Pluralsight.com (for tech skills)
3. Social Platforms.
This is a very huge, but underutilized channel to learn online.
Being on social media can give you access to both information and opportunities if you know the right things to do.
Social learning starts from knowing the right people to follow based on the kinds of content you need to grow.
I’ll talk about some proven strategies to learn on social media in my next post.
Mastering the ability to filter educational and practical content online is a skill you must attain.
Your digital productivity is tied to your ability to rise above the noise.
Have you ever learnt online somewhere?
You can share it in the comment box with your experience.
