Trying a new AI tool every week can feel like progress. Most times, it is just activity.
A useful test starts with work that already happens. You know who does it, how long it takes, and what a good result looks like.
Use this test
Choose one task with enough repetition to matter and low enough risk to test safely.
- Write down the current time, cost, and common mistakes.
- Run the task through one clear AI workflow.
- Check the output with the person who owns the work.
- Measure the same time, cost, and mistakes again.
- Keep, fix, or remove the workflow based on the result.
The goal is not more AI
The goal is better work. Sometimes AI will help. Sometimes a checklist, template, or simpler process will do more.
You only learn the difference when you test one real use case and measure it.
